I was using 4:4:4 8bit at the time with HDR enabled. I then tried 4:2:2 at 10bit and the color banding went away. I can't really notice any downsides to 4:2:2 while playing the game over 4:4:4. I know text looks horrible on my desktop but other than that it seems 4:2:2 at 10bit is superior to 4:4:4 8bit in games.

HDR works (but with very poor picture quality) at 4:2:0 & 4:2:2 at 10 & 12 bit – but not at 8 bit. 4:4:4 doesn’t work in HDR at all due 10 & 12 bit not being supported. I would be happy with HDR at 4:2:2 10 or 12 bit if the picture actually looked okay.
